A design sprint gave Australia’s first property review platform clarity, confidence, and a clear way forward.

Property Reviewed wanted to help tenants share honest feedback on inspected or lived-in properties. But user testing showed people were struggling. The homepage was confusing, property detail pages had too many buttons, and writing reviews felt overwhelming. This caused drop-offs and fewer reviews, limiting the platform’s growth.
The team needed answers fast. They couldn’t afford to waste time building features people didn’t want. The challenge was to quickly test, learn, and hand developers a clear set of priorities that would move the product forward.

We ran a focused design sprint to uncover the main issues and design better flows. Through user testing and interviews in Melbourne and Sydney, we gathered insights from both current and new users. The biggest issue we discovered was the lack of data on the site, users wanted to see more reviews and property information before trusting the platform. This became the client’s main priority going forward.
We worked with the team from start to finish. This included:

“The sprint gave us clarity, confidence, and a clear way forward. It inspired the team to embrace a more user-first culture and gave us requirements we could put straight into production.”
